Message from the president,
Dear members of the ZAIN family,
It is the highest and most humbling honor to serve as president of the Zambian Association in Indiana (ZAIN), one of the most influential organizations of Zambians in the United States of America.
The past year has been a great learning experience and I pledge to keep learning from you in preparing myself to serve so many inspiring and dedicated talents in our community.
Since the inception of my term of office, I have had various opportunities to listen to many of you, through conversations, visits, and various social gatherings throughout the community. These interactions deepened my insight and further deepened my appreciation of our lovely ZAIN community.
I am grateful to serve one of the best Zambian communities, the best hope for freedom and opportunities for future generations to learn about the history of our lovely rich Zambian culture.
Our community preserves a place that welcomes the best minds in pursuit of open inquiry. ZAIN will continue to elevate and become one of the most influential communities of Zambians abroad. It takes a village, and each day is a reminder of our shared sense of purpose, despite seismic changes coming to the modality and impact our services, social gatherings and other planned activities that could not be conducted due to COVID-19.
To the evergreen executive, your unique combination of excellence and value, have been ever true. Your hard work and relentless dedication towards ensuring that everyone was served has been unmatched.
When confronted with challenges, you act with optimism. When tempted by complacency, you choose to aim higher and touch the face of the moon.
In conclusion, I would like to urge our ZAIN community to keep innovating across all levels and keep excelling at scale – one brick at a time, towards boundless potential in the future of our association.
“United, we stand and divide, we fall”
Nasilele Kaingu,
President.
